The Foundation of the Finnish Institute in the Middle East supports research of the Middle East by awarding grants for research, field work, and Arabic studies. The grants are financed with the assistance of the Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture and donations. The activities of the Finnish Institute in the Middle East and research of the Middle East in Finland are also supported by the Friends of the Finnish Institute in the Middle East.
